Savage Rivale Roadyacht GTS: Four-Door Coupe -Convertible Based on Corvette

Billed as the world's first four-door, coupe-convertible supercar, the unfortunately named Savage Rivale Roadyacht GTS is an eccentric concept that made its world debut at the Top Marques Monaco Show in April. Loosely based on the Corvette, it comes equipped with a supercharged LS7 V8 engine that's good enough for 670HP at 6,200 rpm and 538 lb-ft of torque at 4,800 rpm launching the four door hardtop cabrio from zero to 100km/h (62mph) in just 3.4 seconds and on to a theoretical top speed of 330km/h or 205mph. Power is transferred to the rear wheels through GM-sourced automatic gearbox.

Savage Rivale Roadyacht GTS - Auto Cars 2011 Aside from the Lamborghini-style front and rear-hinged doors aside, the unconventional four-seater stands out from the supercar crowd thanks to its retractable hardtop, which according to the company, folds up (or down) in approximately 20 seconds. Too bad we don't have any photos of the car with the roof closed.

And then there's the interior that can seat four passengers. Not sure why, but the company claims in its press release that the cabin's design is inspired from the world of yachts - hence the name 'Roadyacht'. Strange indeed.
