Artega GT: VW 3.2 V6 FSI powered sports car premieres in Geneva

Unlike its exotic appearance suggests, the Artega GT which will debut in a couple of days at the Swiss Show is a production model that’ll be manufactured in a limited series of 500 units per year. Despite the fact that Artega hasn’t released any official facts (or pictures for that matter…) we managed to "scoop" out some info. Powered by a slightly tuned version of VW’s 3.6 V6 FSI pumping out 300Hp, the mid-engined, rear-wheel drive biased GT accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h – 62mph in less than 5,0 sec and it reaches a maximum speed of about 270 km/h – 169mph. Roughly the size of a Mazda Miata / MX-5 (3,950 x 1,880 x 1,180 mm), Artega’s two seater sports car will be sold worldwide from the middle of 2009 for an approximate price of 75.000 EUR – 99.000 USD
