Ford Interceptor Concept – New images

Well basically, what’s important here is that for the first time we get to see the interior of Ford’s Mustang based, Interceptor concept. Like the exterior, the Interceptor’s inner-self design combines circular and square themes (Ford calls it “squircles”), reminiscent of 70’s style-language.-Continued: Click “Read More…” below

We also get a glimpse of the four low-back bucket seats that are wrapped in thick black belt leather with exposed-edge seams and contrasting caramel stitching. The seats are accented with Ford GT-inspired “squircle” grommets finished with Titan Metal painted inserts. Finally there’s also a picture of the Interceptor's, Mustang based, 5.0-litre V8 Cammer engine that runs on E-85 ethanol and produces 400 horsepower.

2009 Audi A4 Renderings

The all new 2009 Mercedes C-Class that’ll be revealed in a few days isn’t the only mid-sized luxury sedan we’re awaiting to see in 2007. Rumors have it that Audi will also unveil its successor to the A4 model later on this year and specifically, at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September.

German magazine Auto Zeitung has taken on the task of creating a rendering of the new A4, based on information that they have from Audi’s headquarters in Germany. Beyond the photoshopped image Auto Zeitung also speculates on the 2009 A4’s engine range that’ll consist among others, of the new 1.8 TFSI in 130 & 160 Hp versions and the 260Hp 3.6 V6 FSI. Nissan Bevel Concept: Detroit Show pre-preview

Well, the American media aren’t the only ones waging war with embargoes. Our Japanese friends over at Carview have posted (from what it seems) the first image of Nissan’s Bevel Concept –even though they still host sketches of the Chrysler Nassau & Jeep Trailhawk concepts…-Continued: Click “Read More…” below

According to Nissan the Bevel Concept was created at Nissan Design America, La Jolla, California. In their own words the Bevel is “a dynamic, multi-purpose vehicle with a small size, big utility and fresh thinking – including a function-inspired design, a “command central” cockpit and high-utility interior”. While one could say that it resembles bowel movements, I guess it looks like some people are running out of ideas. Pic via: Carview

Detroit pre-preview: 2009 Dodge Caravan official pics

Y
eah right, as if these pics would be kept under cover… Anyways, here’s Chrysler’s 2009 Town & Country alter-ego, the Dodge Caravan. Well, let me rephrase cause alter-ego is an understatement here: the 2009 Caravan is practically a mirror-image of the new Town & Country. Thus meaning it looks as boxy and boring as its Chrysler sibling. Same goes for the interior where the only main difference is the gauge cluster.-Continued: Click “Read More…” below

Still, the folks over at Chrysler’s headquarters will probably try to make us appreciate its inner qualities like the Swivel ‘n Go seating system with two second-row captain’s chairs that can rotate 180 degrees to face the third row or the optional power fold-flat third row seats. Don’t forget to check out the “joystick” styled shifter that’s positioned right up next to the instrument panel. We’ll have more on Dodge’s boxonavan on Sunday when it’s officially releasedPics via: Kickingtires

Dumb Lesson 101: Avoid Crotch Flashing When Exiting Vehicle

Britney Spears and Paris Hilton could sure get a lesson or two or maybe three... from this ultimately dumb, yet amusing “how to” video. Directions are pretty clear and concise so they should appeal to the intellect of a monkey -too bad for Paris. Perhaps the vid was made in the best of intentions, but I’m sure you don’t have to look closely to see the camera catching every possible glimpse of her pink knickers. This one is right up there with “How to Hang a Door Knocker” and “How to Operate a Pooper Scooper”.

Update II – The Full Monty on Car Magazine’s 2009 BMW M3

Like we noted a few days ago, Car Magazine’s February 2007 cover story featuring the 2009 M3 that aroused a lot of questions in the "bimmer" community was a mere photoshop… Here’s Car’s online article to prove it:

"BMW M3: It's only the first week of 2007 and we've already landed the scoop of the year: the new BMW M3. CAR's spies have obtained design documents leaking the look of BMW's new super-saloon - several months ahead of its launch this summer.

We used the blueprints to produce a series of four stunning computer-enhanced images revealing exactly how the Three range-topper will look. A sculpted front spoiler punctured by two deep air intakes and a reprofiled bonnet paint a menacing face; elsewhere, the M3 is distinguished by trademark M side gills, 19in alloys and a redesigned rear apron with the licence plate nestled low down in the back bumper.

Under the bonnet lies a V8 of between 4.0 and 4.2 litres' capacity. For full technical details, read the story in the latest CAR Magazine: we've got the full monty, from power outputs to redline details; 0-60mph times and transmission spec." Pic & Article via: Car

The joys of living in Lamborghini County

We found a series of witty Lamborghini ads with the subject headings, “Welcome to Sant’ Agata Bolognese, Home of Lamborghini”. Yeah, it’s fun to drive, look at and drool over, but try sharing a town with this monster. I especially got a kick out of the grandmother using the binoculars before crossing the street and the guy opening his front gate like a scissor door of a Lamborghini. The German Philip und Keuntje Advertising Agency have successfully manage to show that daily life is altered, whether you’re in the driver’s seat or just crossing the street. And they did that without showing an actual Lamborghini once. Pics Via: Philip und Keuntje
